PRIVACY & SAFETY

We care about our customers' privacy and safety. Information we collect is used for purposes of fulfilling purchase transactions that you have initiated or for communications you have requested from our online shop's email notifications on the "Contact Us" page. ØSTMOE does not share or sell your information to any third party. 

California state regulations require warning notifications to be included on some products, so we have complied and included a link to their regulatory website. 

 

TERMS OF SERVICE

By visiting, creating an account, and/or purchasing something from ostmoestudio.com, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by our policies (technically, our "Terms of Service"). If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not continue using the website or any service offered from ostmoestudio.com

If we contact you, we will use the information you have provided or specified, in regard to your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account or your orders, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to send important updates about ØSTMOE or ostmoestudio.com, or as otherwise necessary to enforce our policies, applicable national, state or local laws, and any other agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we reserve the right to contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail. 

Our online shop is hosted on Shopify, which provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through shopify.com data storage, databases and the general shopify.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Shopify and used by ostmoestudio.com adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor's browser. They are typically used to keep track of the settings users have selected and actions they have taken on a site. Shopify.com uses cookies for important reasons, such as:

  • To provide a great experience for visitors and customers.
  • To identify registered members (users who registered to ostmoestudio.com).

  • To ensure our platform is secure and safe to use. 

Please note that Shopify (and thus this site) does not alter established data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

SHIPPING POLICY

ostmoestudio.com offers products for sale to customers able to take delivery within the United States (defined as the 48 contiguous states, Washington DC, Alaska and Hawaii), and currently does not support shipping internationally. 

It is our goal to ship your order 1-4 business days from the order transaction date. If we are unable to send your order within this policy-defined timeline, you will be notified. Most packages arrive 2-5 business days of the date shipped. 

If you would like to request expedited shipping, please contact us prior to checking out and we will work with you to find the best solution based on your request. 

Currently, shipping charges are flat-rate based on the total order amount. There are three tiers:

1. $0 to $24.99
2. $25 to $49.99
3. $50 to $74.99

Orders totals greater than $75 (after any applied discounts and before any applicable tax) qualify for free shipping. Free shipping will always use the lowest-cost shipping method and provider, and we cannot provide a guaranteed delivery date or time. Typically, orders with free shipping arrive within 2-7 days of the date shipped.

 

LOCAL PICKUP

Customers who prefer to pickup their order on Bainbridge Island can do so with no shipping or handling charges, at a designated location during limited hours. If this option is selected, information will appear in checkout and will be sent with the confirmation email about where and when you may pick up your order. 

At this time, a colleague in the local business community has generously allowed us to use their public-facing retail location for our pickup location, and it is not a direct part of our business. Beyond providing access to your order, the staff at this location cannot answer any ostmoestudio.com product or order questions, so please contact us if you need assistance or need something sooner than the next pickup time. 
 

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

Due to the fragile nature of many of our products, ostmoestudio.com is currently unable to accept returns or exchanges. However, we will try to accommodate requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly within 48 hours of delivery if you have received a damaged, incorrect, or missing item. 

Once the order is in the hands of the carrier, they own responsibility for missing packages or late deliveries. We do not grant refunds for packages that are lost in transit, stolen, or for packages that are marked as delivered but not received. Please note, carriers may be impacted by delays due to holidays, staff shortages, or other reasons beyond of the control of ostmoestudio.com. If your package is missing and tracking information is not available, please contact us and be sure to provide the name and delivery address of the package recipient.  

 

TERMS OF SERVICE UPDATES

We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of the above policies by posting updates and/or changes to our website. We will do our best to notify users of such updates, but it is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
